How To Build A Membership Site For A Monthly Recurring Income
Hey Peeps,
Since my launch with UK marketer John Thornhill, I have decided that earning a monthly recurring income is definitely the way forward if I am serious about building a profitable online business.
Don’t get me wrong, having my first ever 4 figure week was awesome and I learnt soooooo much in the process, but it only makes sense that one hit wonders are not really the best business model to follow if you want to make a full time living online.
OK, right now i’m earning affiliate commissions each week and money from my giveaways, but I’m sure you will agree that it’s much better to know exactly how much money you have coming in on a regular basis and when!
Just recently I have been working on my membership site ‘Coaching With Kerry’ and now I have the knowledge and experience I wanted to share this with my subscribers but before I do, lets take a quick look at the earning potential behind mini membership sites because it really doesn’t have to be a complicated process.
It’s only as complicated as you make it!
Lets just say that you went on to launch a low tier membership site offering a $1 7 day trial followed by a $10 billing cycle. Now I think it fair to say that putting 100 members into your site is EASILY achievable right!
Especially if you have a list!
Instantly that would be a $1000 recurring income and as long as you continue marketing your site, making sure you have more members coming in than going out then that figure will continue to grow. And the best part of all this is that you are getting paid over and over again for the same amount of effort. Pretty cool i’m sure you will agree!
Here’s How To Build A Membership Site For A Monthly Recurring Income:
#1 – WordPress Platform – Easy to set up and I’m pretty sure that everyone reading this post right now knows how to install a WordPress blog and it’s FREE.
#2 – Optimize Press – Just another WordPress theme. This did require a small investment. I think it was $97. Really easy to use and comes with step by step tutorials!
#3 – Wishlist or Dap Plugin - Once you have built your site and members area you need to secure it so only paid members can access your content. I have used ‘Dap’ for this, simply because I need to drip feed my content but I did purchase Wishlist before hand and both plugins are easy to use. They come with tutorials and you can have your site set up in a matter of days – literally!
#4 – Content – Now you have everything in place, all that’s left to do is add some content and you are set to go. I know a lot of you will think that you don’t have any ideas for content right now but it can be as simple as adding a 20 minute audio each month. Throw in a few bonuses and for $10 you are already adding value, meaning your members are likely to stick around.
#5 – Traffic – If you have a list then that’s a great starting point but if you don’t that’s not a problem. There’s always the Warrior Forum (WSO are HOT right now), Joint Venture Partners and Affiliates.
Now all you have to do is stay focused and you have a monthly recurring income to give you the security you need!
I really hoped that helps and do feel free to leave your comments and ask any questions.
